Shipping Loader

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and select appropriate pieces for shipment
• Lift, push, and pull materials including windows and glass panes
• Transport materials on L-shaped carts to the loading dock
• Verify work orders to ensure all pieces are included before loading into outgoing trailers
• Assist with loading trucks for shipment

Requirements

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32"
• Ability to lift 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and working on concrete surfaces
• Ability to perform repetitive hand/arm movements and use foot controls
• Capable of using computerized equipment and scanners
• Ability to read and interpret statistical data and written instructions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
