Shipping Handler

Responsibilities

• Perform order selection using turret equipment and RF scan guns to pick customer orders
• Manage the POD conveyor system, including labeling, scanning, and wrapping finished orders
• Execute receiving functions by moving material from manufacturing to staging areas
• Load and unload trucks, including handling dunnage such as pallets and returnable totes
• Use and pre-inspect hand trucks and power trucks to move materials safely
• Work closely with incoming and outgoing drivers to coordinate shipments
• Process inventory transactions and assist with inventory cycle counts
• Count and box production using scales or similar packaging equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of the department and immediate surrounding areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of experience working in a Distribution Center
• Proven experience operating Hi-Lo equipment and RF scanners
• Basic computer and printing skills
• Ability to read and write to follow quality and safety instructions
• Strong mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtracting, and converting units of measure
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment
