Shipping Clerk

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for dock operations and shipping/receiving during the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm).
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are accurate, on time, and processed correctly.
• Prepare all necessary shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading and customs documents.
• Manage inventory through scanning, warehouse audits, and maintaining the AS400 system.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to arrange adequate transportation for customer schedules.
• Monitor stock placement using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles and resolve receiving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address supplier and customer concerns.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Proficiency in CMS 6.1 and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong knowledge of material and inventory control techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs and perform manual tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work weekends and various shifts as required.
