Shipping Attendant

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in providing leadership and direction to the shipping team
• Prepare, load, and unload shipments to ensure seamless product flow
• Examine outgoing shipments for product defects to maintain quality assurance
• Package items using appropriate containers, spacers, fillers, and protective padding
• Label and document shipments with identifying information and shipping instructions
• Transport materials and finished products to appropriate storage locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and a neat, orderly workspace
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• 1-3 years of progressive experience in a shipping or warehouse environment
• Proven experience operating a forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
• Proficiency with hand tools such as electric saws, air nail guns, and banding equipment
• Competency in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
