Shipping Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products
• Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records and rejecting unsatisfactory items
• Prepare and pack goods for shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges
• Load and unload carriers and route materials to inspection, storage, or other destinations
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, and hand trucks
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly production

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary education or Higher Nitec
• At least 1 year of operator experience in an SMT environment
• Ability to lift heavy items
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Willingness to work on a shift basis (12-hour day shifts, rotation of 4 days work / 3 days rest)
