Shipping and Customs Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods availability through accurate and cost-effective import and shipping processes
• Ensure correct documentation, tariff classification, and prompt customs declaration for all imported goods
• Maximize cost savings through Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and relevant documentation
• Coordinate with government agencies and local authorities to secure timely import conditions
• Support performance evaluation of carriers and service providers
• Provide shipping and customs expertise for business expansion projects and compliance issues

Requirements

• Knowledge of customs regulations for import and export and duty classification
• Understanding of local customs and government agency regulations
• Knowledge of shipping routines, documentation, and stakeholders
• Understanding of trade privileges and Free Trade Agreements
• Knowledge of marine and domestic transport insurance claim processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Experience in retail or logistics processes and tools
