Shipper

Responsibilities

• Load products, parts, or merchandise into designated packages, boxes, or crates
• Operate packaging equipment including saws, banding tools, pneumatic staple guns, and box closers
• Use forklifts, hand trucks, pull trucks, and overhead cranes to arrange product transportation
• Review packing lists to ensure accuracy and pack containers using protective materials
• Manage warehouse receiving and shipping duties, including documenting incoming and outgoing materials
• Pull stored materials for orders and move them to production or shipping areas
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as required for TPM
• Conduct tests and inspections to verify work conforms to specifications
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safety-conscious work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of related experience in production processes, machines, and tools
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions, proportions, and decimals
• Experience using various measuring devices to meet drawing dimensions and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, diagrams, and procedure manuals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
