About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor ship movement and maneuvering operations
  • Ensure compliance with maritime, operational, and environmental safety standards
  • Coordinate the use of tugboats, port equipment, and maneuvering support means
  • Articulate communication between captains, pilots, port authorities, and operational teams
  • Monitor operational conditions and identify potential risks or constraints
  • Coordinate maritime and quay-side operational teams
  • Follow operational schedules and ensure compliance with defined timings
  • Prepare operational reports and occurrence records
  • Characterize deviations/non-conformities and propose preventive and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards applicable to the maritime-port sector

Requirements

  • Higher or technical education in Naval Engineering, Nautical Sciences, Port Management, or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maritime operations, port coordination, or ship maneuvering
  • Experience in port environments, shipyards, or maritime operations
  • Solid knowledge of maritime operations and ship maneuvering
  • Knowledge of maritime safety standards and port regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lead and coordinate teams
  • Strong decision-making skills in operational environments
  • Ability to work under pressure and in critical situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific certifications in maritime operations and port safety
  • Knowledge of maritime operational management systems
  • Technical and operational English proficiency
