Shift Technician

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain all manufacturing assets as part of a multi-skilled team
• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance while adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis to drive efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements
• Support the site reliability agenda by identifying failure modes and trends
• Report all maintenance tasks on the CMMS system to the required standard
• Issue work permits and supervise contractors on-site
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and site change initiatives

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or Irish NFQ Level 5 in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
• Strong electrical bias with relevant electrical qualifications
• Multi-skilled capability across both electrical and mechanical disciplines
• Proven fault-finding skills (electrical, mechanical, and PLC)
• Ability to read engineering drawings and operate workshop tools
• Experience working in fast-paced, safety-driven automated environments

Preferred Qualifications

• 18th Edition wiring regulations
• PLC qualifications and experience with automation or robotics
• PAT Testing, Abrasive Wheels, or Welding certifications
• IOSH or Machine Safety (PILZ) certifications
