Shift Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to understand the approved safety basis for facility operations and evaluate the impact of proposed changes on safe operation
• Serve as primary support for the Operations Manager and Shift Manager to ensure daily operations are safe and compliant
• Interface with support organizations to ensure activities comply with authorized work
• Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities for emerging issues within operations management
• Act in a project management role for large, cross-cutting activities involving multiple organizational interfaces
• Present technical briefings explaining approved facility operations and compliance methods
• Evaluate proposed modifications against the Documented Safety Analysis via the Unreviewed Safety Question
• Provide on-call coverage for assigned weekends on a rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 15-20 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active or very recently active DOE "Q" Clearance or DoD "Top Secret" Clearance
• Technical expertise in facility safety basis and impact evaluation of modifications
