About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily thrift store operations and routine tasks
  • Interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
  • Process raw materials by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, pricing, and storing donations
  • Complete customer transactions accurately, including cash and debit sales
  • Maintain store security and monitor activity within the store
  • Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise organization to attract customers
  • Perform inventory control tasks including receiving, sorting, and cycle counting
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment through regular dusting, sweeping, and mopping
  • Act as a Team Lead for Store Associates in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a store or warehouse environment
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow store policies and procedures
  • Ability to undergo applicable background checks
