About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to the Store Manager in overseeing daily thrift store activities
- Interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process raw materials by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, pricing, and storing donations
- Complete customer transactions accurately, including cash and debit sales
- Maintain store appearance through cleaning, dusting, mopping, and organizing merchandise displays
- Monitor store security and assist with inventory control and reconciliation
- Act as a Team Lead for Store Associates in the absence of the Store Manager
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and store policies
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a store or warehouse environment
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing
- Ability to undergo applicable background checks
