Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily thrift store activities and routine tasks
• Act as a Team Lead and working supervisor for store associates in the absence of the Store Manager
• Interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process raw materials by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, pricing, and storing donations
• Complete customer transactions accurately, including cash and debit sales
• Maintain store security by monitoring activity and ensuring the integrity of donated items
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise organization to attract customers
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment through regular dusting, sweeping, and mopping
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a store or warehouse environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to undergo successful background checks and screening
• Willingness to support the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army
