Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate department activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by correcting unsafe acts, participating in safety meetings, and conducting inspections.
• Support and follow SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Conduct on-the-job training and development for subordinates to ensure high production levels.
• Lead problem-solving sessions to address production, quality, and safety issues.
• Maintain accurate production, spoilage, and downtime records.
• Monitor machine parts and supplies to maintain equipment and review production schedules for optimization.
• Manage environmental documentation and ensure compliance with regulations regarding hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of job-related experience.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Experience with LEAN practices (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, etc.).
• Working knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in computer operations and statistical data analysis.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work a schedule of 12-hour shifts, including Monday through Sunday, with regular overtime and on-call availability.
