Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of chemical technicians in the production of cosmetic ingredients according to the manufacturing schedule
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Monitor manufacturing processes and equipment operation, reacting promptly to any deviations or safety incidents
• Manage shift priorities through daily team meetings and coordinate with the previous shift supervisor during passdown
• Coordinate with logistics for raw material and finished product requests and enter transactions into the MRP system
• Oversee equipment maintenance scheduling, approve work permits, and ensure thorough cleaning procedures are executed correctly
• Serve as the site point of contact for safety, environmental, and quality issues during the shift
• Participate in root cause investigations, 6S studies, and recommend improvements to manufacturing methods

Requirements

• 5 years of supervision experience in a chemical process industry OR 10 years of supervision in an industrial process industry
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and industrial safety practices
• Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to use computers and company software for data entry and documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a degree or certification program in manufacturing technology

Benefits

• Salary range: $80k - $92k
• 5% annual bonus
• Regular Monday - Friday work schedule
