Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead the evening shift team, setting the pace and ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Execute clean handoffs between day and morning shifts
• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to exact specifications
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with high precision
• Receive inbound material, verify against purchase orders, and package outbound shipments
• Record cut data and job completions accurately in digital software systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• Experience in a factory, metals service center, or skilled trades
• Knowledge of bandsaws, industrial saws, and CNC equipment
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to set a high standard for the team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shift
• Proficiency with software and digital tracking systems
• High attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
• Prior supervisory or shift lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Comfort using AI tools to improve workflow efficiency
