Shift Supervisor (Mining)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare all activities during designated mining shifts to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain quality control measures to ensure materials meet required standards for the processing plant.
• Supervise the operation and maintenance of mining equipment and material transport systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a coordinated workflow.
• Record accurate data regarding mining activities, material quantities, and quality metrics.
• Resolve operational challenges, technical issues, and discrepancies within the mining area.
• Prepare comprehensive shift reports detailing accomplishments, challenges, and incidents.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize block preparation and material feeding processes.
• Execute sustainability activities and comply with all environmental and social requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or N3 Technical qualification.
• Relevant National Qualification on NQF5 level.
• DMRE-approved Blasting Certificate.
• 5 years of relevant operational experience in mining.
• Valid South African Driver's Licence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mining.
• A2 Safety Training and Legal Liability certification.
