About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and control daily shift operations to meet production and delivery targets
  • Manage company and subcontractor fleet to ensure optimal utilisation and performance
  • Monitor driver compliance regarding fatigue, speed, and operational requirements using systems like FoxTrax
  • Allocate work and oversee transport movements to maintain efficiency and customer service
  • Lead shift planning, handovers, and incident response in line with company procedures
  • Complete and review driver documentation, including run sheets and compliance records
  • Conduct safety audits and in-field observations to promote a safety-first culture
  • Ensure all operations comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), heavy vehicle, and site-specific regulations
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and feedback to drivers to support continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Availability to work a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day shift (5am–5pm)
  • Proven experience supervising transport or logistics operations (bulk haulage, mining, or specialised freight preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and heavy vehicle compliance
  • Experience managing drivers and subcontractors to achieve operational and safety outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability in dynamic environments
  • Experience using transport or fleet management systems (e.g., FoxTrax or similar)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with drivers, customers, and key stakeholders
