Shift Sub-Head - Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the direction of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Program and supervise Mechanical Maintenance Assistants
• Organize, direct, and participate in the inspection and replacement of HVAC air filters across campus
• Utilize Building Management Systems to identify equipment malfunctions and manage remote equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues, perform inspections and tests, and recommend solutions to the Head of Mechanical Operations
• Estimate required materials, tools, and worker hours to complete assigned tasks
• Maintain timekeeping records and use computer maintenance management systems to record equipment information and regulatory inspections
• Coordinate work with other trade groups to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth workflow
• Lead and participate in the training of crew members while fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment

Requirements

• BC 4th Class Power Engineering Certification
• 5 years of related experience in an industrial setting
• Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license
• NCT Level 1

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the HVAC industry
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Machining experience
