Shift Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Implement Singapore WSH and Evonik safety regulations to ensure site compliance.
• Provide training on ESH matters, including permits, site induction, and emergency response.
• Develop and maintain procedures to comply with governmental and company safety standards.
• Assist the Health and Safety Manager with audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Identify and assess foreseeable risks in the workplace and provide mitigation measures.
• Perform daily plant safety and security rounds and monitor work permits (e.g., confined space, hot work).
• Lead the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and coordinate annual drills and training.
• Coordinate fire protection activities with SCDF and manage the maintenance of emergency response equipment and PPE.
• Oversee the maintenance of fire protection systems, CCTV, and emergency communication equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum "O level" qualification.
• Advanced Certificate in WSH as per Singapore guidelines.
• Hands-on experience in firefighting, fireman training, and incident response.
• Valid Class 3 Driving License for operating emergency response vehicles.
• Must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR).
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to work in a chemical plant environment involving hazardous, toxic, and flammable materials.
