Shift Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Implement Singapore WSH and Evonik safety regulations to ensure full occupational safety compliance.
• Provide training on ESH matters, including permits, site induction, occupational health, and emergency response.
• Develop and maintain procedures to comply with site safety, health, and governmental regulations.
• Assist the Health and Safety Manager with safety plans, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Identify and assess foreseeable risks in the workplace and provide measures to minimize or eliminate them.
• Perform daily plant safety and security rounds and ensure compliance with work permits (e.g., confined space, hot work).
• Lead the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT) by conducting annual drills, quarterly training, and community drills.
• Coordinate the maintenance of emergency response equipment, PPE, and fire protection systems.
• Liaise with SCDF and other departments to coordinate fire protection activities and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum "O level" qualification.
• Advanced Certificate in WSH as per Singapore guidelines.
• Hands-on experience in firefighting, fireman training, and incident response.
• Valid Class 3 Driving License for operating emergency response vehicles.
• Must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR).
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to work in a chemical plant environment involving hazardous, toxic, and flammable materials.
