About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical maintenance activities and capital projects in line with asset strategies and engineering budgets.
- Maintain foundry machinery reliability and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through TPM practices.
- Plan and execute plant shutdowns, equipment installation, and commissioning projects according to technical specifications.
- Lead, coach, and develop the mechanical maintenance team and subcontractors to ensure productive and safe work.
- Prioritize and monitor continuous improvement projects and participate in root cause analysis.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including LOTOTO procedures and safe work permit authorization.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in the commissioning and installation of heavy-duty equipment.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading mechanical maintenance teams or multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to guide others through technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in foundries, steel-making plants, or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Background in the mining, manufacturing, or fabrication industries.
- Proficiency in technical English.
