Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of warehouse operatives during night shifts to ensure they are engaged, organized, and motivated
• Oversee the efficient unloading of vehicles and accurate sortation of parcels in line with KPIs
• Ensure depot throughput, tip times, and "parcels per person hour" targets are met
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency
• Manage resourcing and staffing levels at short notice to cover employee absences
• Perform comprehensive reporting and data analysis to monitor depot performance

Requirements

• Proven experience in a fast-paced operational environment
• Demonstrable people management experience with responsibility for leading high-performing teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Proficiency with computer applications (Google Chrome) and data analysis
• High levels of resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
