Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound, loading, and dispatch
• Manage and allocate labour resources to ensure DC KPIs and service expectations are met
• Oversee the performance of Team Managers, driving accountability and high-performing team culture
• Plan and roster labour to optimise productivity and meet volume requirements
• Monitor operational performance and proactively address risks to service delivery
• Maintain strong communication across warehouse, transport, and customer teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site productivity and efficiency
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Promote a strong safety culture to maintain an injury-free workplace

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience within a large-scale warehouse or distribution centre
• Experience leading supervisors or Team Managers (leading leaders)
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, KPIs, and labour management
• Strong safety mindset with a focus on compliance and risk management
• Commercial and financial awareness, including labour cost control
• Clear communication and influencing skills across various stakeholders
