Shift Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to shift maintenance teams supporting manufacturing processes, ensuring high levels of quality and safety.
• Manage the execution of maintenance plans through daily handovers, coordination, and technical planning meetings with plant stakeholders.
• Assign work to technician teams and manage resources to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Ensure strict adherence to GxP and SOP requirements for all assigned tasks.
• Support investigations into process deviations and ensure robust CAPA execution and closure.
• Coordinate effective responses to emergencies and equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Proactively administer work orders in the CCMS (Maximo) to ensure accurate and contemporaneous documentation.
• Provide technical support and coordination for engineering trials and equipment-related project activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification/experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a GxP or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotech industries, specifically aseptic processing or packaging operations.
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems such as Maximo or SAP.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, including Non-Conformance, Change Control, and CAPA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and Electronic Batch Records.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and implement maintenance strategies.
