Shift Leader Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Supervise a medium to large group of technical employees in maintenance operations
• Maintain awareness of safety standards and promote safe work practices, ergonomics, and housekeeping
• Build and maintain working relationships with employees, management, and the UAW union
• Implement systems to prevent the reoccurrence of known technical issues
• Manage the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment to meet production cost and quality requirements
• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and support launch or pilot activities
• Coach, teach, and mentor Maintenance Leads, Control Engineers, and Group Leaders
• Manage project priorities and weekend work plans to improve throughput

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of experience in a people leadership role
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) knowledge
• Prior Body Shop manufacturing or maintenance experience
• Experience working in a relationship with UAW leadership
