Shift Leader for Sterile Medicine Packaging

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor operational processes in the vial packaging area to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective production.
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the shift team, including personnel planning and employee development.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with GMP standards and support process optimization initiatives.
• Conduct GMP and safety training independently and assist with validation and PQ runs.
• Track and report shift KPIs and manage deviations, complaints, and change control measures.
• Oversee serialization and IT systems on packaging lines, including format setup and troubleshooting.
• Represent the shift team in communications with department management and other shift leaders.

Requirements

• Degree as a Meister or Techniker in a pharmaceutical or food processing environment.
• Multi-year professional experience in a relevant production setting.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical and disciplinary personnel leadership.
• Strong technical understanding of packaging lines and IT systems.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
• Very good German language skills and good English skills.
• High level of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork capabilities.
