Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities, including reading prints, work orders, and scheduling to meet productivity goals
• Perform daily inspections and audits to monitor quality and efficiency, troubleshooting and escalating issues to maintenance or engineering
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and shipping departments to implement improvements for production methods and equipment performance
• Ensure employee compliance with equipment operation training and safety procedures
• Maintain Visual Management Boards with real-time data regarding production, time, and throughput
• Work with the Training Specialist to manage team skills matrices and develop cross-training plans
• Facilitate part processing for shipment and resolve safety or quality alerts

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or technical school completion
• Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task in an ever-changing environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Team Leader role
• Knowledge of or experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or Kaizen
• Experience with ATM or Shop Floor Plus programs
