Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily production schedules for slag and scrap handling and processing
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets across all three shifts
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control programs
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, including LOTO and PTW
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to optimize equipment availability and utilization
• Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and density to maintain product quality
• Maintain accurate shift logs, performance reports, and detailed handover notes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• Proven experience working in a steel melt shop or blast furnace environment
• Strong background in operation management and process control
• Deep knowledge of HSE protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Permit to Work (PTW)
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and manpower management
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance teams
