Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Plan daily production schedules for slag and scrap handling and processing
• Implement, control, and adjust production schedules as needed
• Determine and manage material and human resources to meet production targets
• Make decisions regarding equipment use, availability, and utilization
• Coordinate with the Maintenance department to optimize resource availability
• Coordinate with customers on a daily basis
• Plan team operations across all three shifts for maximum efficiency
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards
• Monitor product quality and enforce quality control and tracking programs
• Uphold ISO, GBP, and OSHA standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a steel melt shop or blast furnace environment
• Proficient computer skills
