Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact on shift, coordinating with operating area teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Direct work activities to optimize machine setup, speed, and uptime to achieve operational targets.
• Act as a lead blocker for safety issues and operational distractions.
• Make critical operational decisions to maintain continuous 24/7 operations and resolve immediate issues.
• Collaborate with maintenance and mill leadership to manage logistics and troubleshooting.
• Lead the on-shift team in responding to and reporting safety or environmental concerns.
• Manage logistical challenges, such as urgent part procurement, to prevent disruptions.

Requirements

• Experience in cross-team collaboration within an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Experience in leading, training, mentoring, or developing hourly employees.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• Direct supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Experience in the pulp and paper industry.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar maintenance management systems.
