Shift Equipment Operator 1st Class

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile heavy equipment to load, transport, stockpile, and maintain raw materials and coal for cement production
• Strip overburden to facilitate drilling and the removal of raw materials
• Level and maintain haul roads and stockpiles
• Perform daily equipment inspections, servicing, and workplace housekeeping
• Adhere to all MSHA safety rules, lockout/tagout policies, and plant safety procedures
• Assist in the construction or repair of plant facilities as needed

Requirements

• Two years of heavy-equipment operator experience
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform daily inspections/servicing
• Thorough knowledge of equipment operating limitations (weight, speed, braking)
• Physical ability to lift, climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
