Shift Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a shift team of engineers and contractors to maximise plant performance and uptime
• Prioritise planned and reactive maintenance activities to support operational requirements
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across plant and machinery
• Deliver preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement long term corrective actions
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve reliability and engineering efficiency
• Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
• Support and develop engineering team capability and skill progression
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping, engineering practice and communication through effective shift handovers and reporting

Requirements

• HNC qualified in Mechanical or Plant Engineering
• Previous experience supervising engineering teams within an industrial, manufacturing or processing environment
• Strong fault finding and problem solving ability
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
• Ability to prioritise workloads and perform well in a fast paced operational environment
