Shift Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage production delivery schedules, shift management, resource allocation, and manning.
• Optimize cycle times and improve the performance of bottleneck machinery.
• Drive the deployment of the SKF Production System (SPS) and facilitate Kaizen culture.
• Support the development of new standards and facilitate continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor machine conditions, preventive maintenance, and tooling life to reduce downtime.
• Maintain material requirements and coordinate with respective departments.
• Provide on-the-job training to personnel and monitor the skill matrix.
• Provide counseling for workmen behavior and work-related matters.

Requirements

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Industrial Production.
• Approximately 7 years of shop-floor experience specifically in grinding and assembly.
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and production systems.
• Proven experience working within a bearing production company.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts based on a weekly roster.
