Shift Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple lines of automated systems, including slicers, scales, bagging, sealers, and packaging equipment
• Optimise line performance to meet and exceed KPIs regarding equipment reliability and efficiency
• Perform hands-on reactive engineering support across mechanical and electrical requirements
• Complete maintenance activities to drive a predictive approach and prevent equipment failures
• Capture and record appropriate information regarding plant performance
• Work with equipment such as block cutters, robotic arms (KUKA), conveyors, and automatic pallet wrappers

Requirements

• Multi-skilled engineering background with an HNC or HND
• Proven hands-on reactive maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience working within a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques
• Proficiency using CMMS and the ability to interpret data to increase plant efficiency
• PLC fault-finding skills are highly desirable
