Shift Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor all machines and ancillary plant
• Follow preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules
• Perform repairs during production and planned maintenance
• Carry out scheduled work to restore machines and site to standard
• Execute machine change overs when required
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve machine performance
• Assist in colleague training and development
• Ensure adherence to good work practices and housekeeping
• Support the production team in an operational capacity

Requirements

• Experience in a food factory environment (advantageous)
• Completed apprenticeship (desirable)
• Packing experience (desirable)
• Basic computer literacy
• Understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to communicate and motivate others
• Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts
