About the role
Responsibilities
- Service and repair duties of guestrooms, public areas, and heart of house
- Perform minor equipment repairs, HVAC servicing, and filter changes
- Handle plumbing tasks including caulking and replacement of bathroom fixtures
- Conduct daily swimming pool testing and chemical balancing
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property facilities and equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment through regular inspections and corrective actions
- Assist guests with hotel equipment such as televisions
- Participate in environmental and sustainable operations programs
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience in painting, plumbing, tiling, or carpentry in a large commercial building
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work safely with minimum supervision
- Excellent guest service skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and command of the English language
- Availability to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Class 4 driver's license
