Shift Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform manual or mechanical production and support functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing equipment
• Execute preventative and planned maintenance on production and support machinery
• Assist with equipment breakdowns and line conversions to ensure minimal downtime
• Comply with all job safety practices, plant directives, and food safety system guidelines
• Maintain and replenish required supplies, materials, parts, and hand tools for the assigned area
• Follow and initiate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the area of responsibility
• Work a shift pattern consisting of 6 days on (2 morning, 2 afternoon, 2 night shifts) followed by 4 days off

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Apprenticeship in a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Proven experience with preventative and planned maintenance
• Ability to assist with mechanical breakdowns and production line conversions
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical processes
