Responsibilities

• Comply with Quality, Occupational Safety, Environment policies and specific Laboratory objectives.
• Ensure compliance with SSMA programs and procedures (inspections, training, meetings, etc.).
• Supervise the implementation of corrective and preventive actions generated by inspections, audits, or incident investigations.
• Ensure inspectors have all necessary equipment, materials, and safety gear.
• Manage technical, operational, and quality activities of the assigned Laboratory.
• Coordinate directly with Mine and Plant Superintendents regarding service requests and work priorities.
• Direct personnel through selection, induction, performance evaluation, and training identification.
• Maintain or improve laboratory productivity levels through relevant studies.
• Supervise sampling in the Concentrator or Process Plant, as well as the analysis process.

Requirements

• Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering degree (collegiado y habilitado).
• 4 years of experience in wet and dry path functions.
• Proficiency in instrumental chemical analysis techniques (AAS).
• Solid knowledge in copper volumetry.
• Solid knowledge in sample preparation (Geology, Plant, Metallurgy).
• Solid knowledge of ISO 17025, 17024, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in personnel management.
