Shift Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation and control systems using mathematical modeling and control theory
• Lead the implementation and operation of instrumentation, electrical, and automation control systems
• Analyze system dynamics to develop effective control strategies that optimize reliability and efficiency
• Support manufacturing operations through system configuration and technical troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards
• Contribute to complex engineering projects and evaluate advancements in automation technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (High School + 8 years; Associate + 4 years)
• Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating night shift (6:00 PM EST – 6:00 AM EST)
• Availability for a schedule of 2 nights on, 2 nights off, including every other weekend

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Mechatronics
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Beckhoff / TwinCAT systems
• Proficiency in Structured Text programming language
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
