Sheriff's Office Support Positions

Responsibilities

• Maintain law enforcement records, including processing licenses, warrants, and protection orders
• Provide customer service to law enforcement agencies, constituents, and the general public via phone, email, and in person
• Perform data entry for police reports and manage public disclosure requests in accordance with Washington State laws
• Conduct background checks for gun-related licenses and firearms dealer applications
• Maintain accurate records for sexual offender registration, property, and evidence
• Perform clerical duties such as bookkeeping, invoicing, and filing hard copy and electronic documents
• Assist with deputy and SWAT team callouts when requested

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Must pass NCRC Work Keys Level 4 (Silver Level) or higher on all three tests
• Must pass a background and criminal history investigation
• Typing speed of at least 50 WPM
• Extensive experience in filing and maintaining records
