About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of the Management Team, integrating SHEQ considerations into operational decision-making
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on SHEQ matters to leaders and operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with Western Australian and Australian WHS legislation, regulations, and company standards
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve integrated SHEQ management systems
  • Maintain ISO certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 55001
  • Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections, and Safety GEMBA walks
  • Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop and facilitate SHEQ training and awareness initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Advanced Diploma in Work Health & Safety or an equivalent SHEQ qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of SHEQ experience within an operational environment
  • Relevant SHEQ certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Strong knowledge of Western Australian and Australian WHS legislation and compliance
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
  • Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or mining equipment environments is highly regarded
