SHEQ Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the SHEQ team, providing guidance, support, and professional development
• Support SHEQ strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Create and update SHEQ policies, procedures, and management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses for all operations
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes
• Promote a positive safety culture through training and leadership engagement
• Oversee occupational health programmes and ensure compliance with COSHH and the Health and Safety at Work Act
• Develop and implement environmental policies to minimize environmental footprint
• Implement and maintain quality management systems and conduct audits
• Develop and deliver SHEQ training programmes for employees
• Prepare regular reports on SHEQ performance and statistical analysis

Requirements

• Previous experience in the construction or property services sector
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• CMIOSH or equivalent (or working towards it)
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
• Understanding of health and safety issues within the property maintenance space
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and subcontractors
