SHEQ Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide SHEQ support across electrical projects, installations, and site operations
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety assessments
• Assist in the development and implementation of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses
• Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and SHEQ training to site teams
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Maintain accurate SHEQ records, reports, and documentation
• Promote a positive safety culture across projects

Requirements

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
• Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or Engineering
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation within construction or electrical environments
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Strong understanding of electrical installation safety requirements
• Strong reporting and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on electrical infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects
• Membership or working toward professional accreditation with IOSH or IIRSM
• Experience supporting high-voltage or large electrical installation projects
