About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility through regular rounds to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Identify and address hazardous situations and respond to emergencies or drills
- Maintain facility cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and handling laundry
- Manage food service tasks such as meal preparation, serving, and maintaining pantry/refrigerator organization
- Perform inventory checks for supplies and furnishings and document needs for replenishment
- Maintain participant sign-in/out sheets and uphold strict confidentiality regarding participant information
- Handle disputes between participants professionally and diffuse stressful situations
- Act as a point of contact for guests and volunteers, providing orientations and tours
- Complete administrative tasks including data entry, updating rosters, and incident reporting
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with low-income or homeless populations
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain and maintain it)
- Access to reliable personal transportation
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- TB test clearance
- Availability for swing shifts (3:30 PM-11:30 PM), graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays
