About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lay out and examine metal stock to ensure specifications are met
  • Set up and operate specialized equipment and tooling for stainless sheet metal fabrication
  • Install, align, and lock punches, dies, or fixtures in rams or brake presses
  • Study shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Clean and lubricate machinery
  • Cross-train in welding and metalworking techniques
  • Move equipment and material using a forklift

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Skilled in mathematics including decimal charts, circumference, and bend radius
  • Ability to lift and move heavy sheets of metal
  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or construction
  • 2+ years of experience operating press brake or shear
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience using a roll table
