Sheet Metal Engineer Specialist – Pickup Box

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sheet metal design and release of Pickup Box stampings and assemblies
• Manage part design to meet cost, weight, and vehicle performance targets
• Conduct analysis of sections, components, and sub-systems to drive design efficiency
• Develop CAD to support design alternative studies and production development
• Participate in the creation of simulation environments for testing body system concepts
• Support development of prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing
• Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems
• Manage resources efficiently including supplier partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in Pickup Box structures across design, test, and launch phases
• Proficiency in CATIA for detailed part design and development
• Expertise in sheet metal design and first principles problem solving
• Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
