About the role
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sheet metal design and release of Pickup Box stampings and assemblies
- Manage part design to meet cost, weight, and vehicle performance targets
- Conduct analysis of sections, components, and sub-systems to drive design efficiency
- Develop CAD to support design alternative studies and production development
- Participate in the creation of simulation environments for testing body system concepts
- Support development of prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing
- Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems
- Manage resources efficiently including supplier partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in Pickup Box structures across design, test, and launch phases
- Proficiency in CATIA for detailed part design and development
- Expertise in sheet metal design and first principles problem solving
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
