About the role

Responsibilities

  • Use technical knowledge to review drawings and parts lists to assemble and bolt together parts
  • Install and align doors, covers, hinges, latches, and gaskets according to client specifications
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
  • Coordinate with the foreman to document engineering or fabrication problems
  • Contribute ideas to supervisors to drive continuous improvements

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of fabrication and manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and process drawings, cut sheets, and parts lists
  • Proficiency with mechanical tools including air inpack, air ratchet, wrenches, and sockets
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Intermediate math skills for calculating figures, proportions, and area
