About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Develop and control SHE procedures, standards, manuals, instructions, and emergency plans
  • Conduct risk assessments (IPER/HIRA), manage work permits, and oversee safe work procedures
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions using quality tools like 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys
  • Oversee occupational health programs and health surveillance
  • Manage document control, non-conformity management, and continuous improvement processes
  • Support the implementation and administration of Integrated Management Systems

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Occupational Health and Safety within industrial environments
  • Experience with environmental compliance and legal requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican safety regulations (STPS) and environmental legislation
  • Proficiency in English (Intermediate-Advanced level, both oral and written)
  • Experience with ISO internal and/or external audits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or specialization in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, or Management Systems
  • Certifications such as ISO Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • Familiarity with metal-mechanical manufacturing processes for risk analysis
