Shave Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead research investigations and develop innovative shaving technologies through product testing and prototype development
• Design and execute robust research studies that meet international scientific standards
• Conduct in-depth metallurgical analysis, including sample preparation, cross-sectioning, and polishing
• Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment such as stereomicroscopes, salt spray testers, and tensile compression systems
• Support the Architecture and Prototype labs by designing assembly fixtures and evaluating electromechanical systems
• Perform statistical analysis on product, process, and consumer data to provide actionable insights
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Testing teams to design user studies and refine product concepts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field
• Practical experience in Research and Development (R&D)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis procedures
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of prototyping experience
• Extensive knowledge of machining, metal forming, and processes such as EDM and CNC
• Proficiency in mechanical property testing (tensile, elongation, and microhardness)
• Knowledge of chemical analysis and the microstructure of steel
• Experience designing and making prototyping fixtures
